Alpha & Anteneh - 1

This magical Ethiopian wedding comes in three parts and took place over the space of a month; the Ethiopian Orthodox service, the traditional Ethiopian Celebration, and the Registry service. It’s the first time I’ve ever done such a long wedding, with so many different elements to it, and I loved it. It was beautiful to be part of, Alpha and Anteneh were an absolute joy to photograph, and it was really special to be photographing the same family three times; by the end I felt really welcomed into the family.

First up is the traditional church service. The candles, those crowns, the glorious light that streamed into the church at just the right moment. It was quite possibly the most beautiful wedding service I’ve been to (even if it was 3 hours long)!
